Aug. 4 Zak Sobel. Singer-songwriter Zak Sobel first appeared on Homegrown Music in 2011 when he was a student a Penn State. Now working a touring musician based in New York, Sobel returned to WVIA in 2019 for a new set of original songs in both acoustic and electric settings.

Aug. 11 Po Boyz. A great funky organ-based trio, Po Boyz performs a collection of their original tunes that run from soulful to jam-band style, in this encore from 2011.

Aug. 18 Dave’s True Story. A nationally-known jazzy quartet noted for their witty lyrics by Dave Cantor, and the appealing vocals of Kelly Flint, Dave’s True story released several album in the early 2000s. This encore from 2005 features some of their best and most clever songs.

Aug. 25 Brazz Tree. The distinctive duo of violinist/vocalist Mazz Swift and guitarist Brad Hammonds. They perform a highly distinctive collection of original music than runs from art-rock to classically-influenced to Celtic, played at a virtuosic level.
