Homegrown Music is WVIA-FM's exclusive series which each week showcases the talents of regional contemporary music artists in recordings produced in the WVIA-FM studios by series host George Graham and is broadcast Tuesdays at 9:00 PM. Sep. 6 Dina Hall. A fine singer-songwriter from the Lehigh Valley, Ms. Hall previously appeared on Homegrown Music several years ago as half of the duo Nina and Dina. This is an encore of her 2009 solo HGM debut with a pleasing collection of original songs performed in an acoustic setting.

Mac Jackson
Alice Leon of the Alice Project at WVIA
Sep. 13 The Alice Project. Led by singer-songwriter Alice Leon, this New Jersey-based quintet has been existence for a decade, and most recently released a CD in 2008. This encore goes back to their Homegrown Music debut in 2001 for some rocking, lyrically astute songs.

Sep. 20 Drew Kelly. Through he is barely into his 20s, Scranton singer-songwriter Drew Kelly has thoroughly absorbed the sound and style of the great 1960s folksingers. For his second Homegrown Music appearance, he performs a batch of new original songs that carry on the lyrical tradition of the classic folkies.

Tiger Darrow

Sep. 27 Tiger Darrow. Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tiger Darrow's CD You Know Who You Are has been featured recently on WVIA's Mixed Bag, as well as receiving national airplay. From Texas, Ms. Darrow has relocated to the region to study. She makes her Homegrown Music debut with a fine collection of original songs performed on guitar, cello and looping devices, and is joined by her uncle Allan Hayslip on bass guitar.
