Homegrown Music is WVIA-FM's exclusive series which each week showcases the talents of regional contemporary music artists in recordings produced in the WVIA-FM studios by series host George Graham. Homegrown Music (HGM), presents new performances most Tuesdays at 9:00 PM. August features include an anthology special on humorous and novelty songs on the 3rd, and a Concert Clips special on the 10th. Homegrown Music will be pre-empted on August 17 for coverage of the Billtown Blues Festival. Aug. 10 A Homegrown Music Concert Clips Special. WVIA's unique series of live monthly radio concerts has brought lots of memorable music to our listeners. This 90 minute special features highlights from numerous recent performances in a wide variety of styles, demonstrating once again the remarkable scope of the musical talent in our region. Aug. 24 Jeni Hackett. A talented singer-songwriter from the
Poconos, Jeni Hackett makes her Homegrown Music debut with a fine collection of
her appealing, thoughtful and melodic original music, performed in a solo
acoustic setting.
