Homegrown Music is WVIA-FM's exclusive series which each week showcases the talents of regional contemporary music artists in recordings produced in the WVIA-FM studios by series host George Graham and is broadcast Tuesdays at 9:00 PM. Sept. 5 Rofo Audio. A first-rate three-piece rock band from Royersford, PA, (hence the name), the group released their debut album Now Broadcasting last year, and recently released a new EP Reach. An encore of their 2016 Homegrown Music is featured.

Sept. 12 Julia Joseph. An outstanding singer-songwriter with a breezy, jazzy style, Julia Joseph performs original music with an acoustic band, in this encore from 2007.

Sept. 19 Melodic Intersect. Featuring the tradition Indian instrumental of sitar and tabla, Melodic Intersect add keyboards and jazzy jam-band sensibility. Their current release Looking Forward has been receiving national airplay. The group returns for an all-new segment of their engaging original music.

Sept. 26 Sarah Donner. Sarah Donner is a distinctive singer songwriter from New Jersey who lyrics cover a variety of topics, often with wit, and who has had over 4 million views on YouTube. She recently released a new CD called Black Hole Heart which has been featured on WVIA’s Mixed Bag. This segment is an encore of Ms. Donner’s 2011 session.
